About Us
Wandsworth Voluntary Sector Health Network is a network of voluntary sector and faith organisations working together to have a positive impact on the health and well-being of communities in the London borough of Wandsworth.
Our vision is of a healthy borough with healthy lifestyles for all our community members.
Our aim is to promote responsible and holistic healthy lifestyles among community members through active networking, capacity building, and health promotion events on issues such as:
- Heart Disease
- Diabetes
- Stroke
- Depression
- Healthy eating
- Alcohol Awareness
- The effects of smoking
The Objectives of WVSHN are:
To promote the understanding that health and well being is the responsibility of everyone.
To promote joint activities and information sharing between the voluntary sector and Wandsworth Primary Care Trust to promote health and well-being in the community.
To support events, campaigns and activities within Voluntary Sector groups which promote responsible and holistic healthy life styles, and to encourage information sharing within the community.
To identify the health needs of communities and the gaps in services which currently exist and working towards addressing these.
To highlight to the community that a healthy lifestyle is achievable, and is a great benefit.
